The Minister of Manpower (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 5 of 2021 on Procedures for the Implementation of Work-Accident Insurance, Life Insurance and Old-Age Benefit Programs (“ Regulation 5/2021 ”) in an effort to update the outdated legal frameworks that previously addressed the organization of the government's Work-Accident Insurance (Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja– “ JKK ”), Life Insurance (Jaminan Kematian– “ JKM ”) and Old-Age Benefit (Jaminan Hari Tua– “ JHT ”) programs. As such, Regulation 5/2021 has now repealed and replaced the following regulations:
