Minister of Health Introduces Hospital Accreditation Standards

In an effort to improve the quality of hospital services and patient safety and to achieve good hospital and clinical governance, as well as the proper implementation of the National Health Development Program, the Minister of Health (“ Minister ”) has issued Decree No. HK.01.07/MENKES/1128/2022 on Hospital Accreditation Standards (“ Decree 1128/2022 ”), which will now be used as a reference in order to implement and organize hospital accreditations. [1] Broadly speaking, hospital accreditation standards are grouped as follows: 1) Hospital management group; 2) Patient-focused service group; 3) Patient safety target group; and 4) National program group. [2]
