Regulation of the Government No. 41 of 2021 on the Organization of Free-Trade Zones and Free Ports (“ Regulation 41/2021 ”) has been issued and elaborates upon provisions originally set out under the umbrella framework of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation, which is attempting to improve the investment and business activity ecosystems within free-trade zones and free ports (kawasan perdagangan bebas dan pelabuhan bebas– “ KPBPB ”). In essence, Regulation 41/2021 sets out various provisions which specifically address the implementation of strategic policies for the management and development of KPBPB and that relate to the following specific areas:
